Guys, if those who read this haven't figured it out, I just took a scene from Star Wars Empire Strikes Back and replaced certain key words with Harry Potter terminology.
But seriously, if you didn't figure it out, for shame. FOR SHAME.
All these months training with Dumbledore and finding the horcruxes of
Voldemort, Voldemort's end was in sight. Harry cautiously walked
through the misty cavern, the cavern deathly quiet, his ears straining
to hear anything that could give away the Dark Wizard's location.
"Do you believe that just because you have destroyed the horcruxes, my power is any weaker than it was before?"
Voldemort's laugh echoed through the dark cavern, "You are strong in magic, young Potter. But you are not a wizard yet."
Harry drew out his wand. Voldemort stepped out of the mist and drew his
own wand. The two stared each other down for a brief moment, then Harry
raised his wand and attacked.
Elsewhere, within Hogwarts,
Hermione, Ginny, Luna, and Neville were being led away by the Death
Eaters and Snape. Walking quickly through the corridors, Snape led the
group to an intersection, where several of the professors waited.
Immediately, the Death Eaters were surrounded, their wands quickly
taken away. Professor McGonagall quickly hands the young wizards their
wands back.
"Well done. Hold them in Dumbledore's office - and keep it quiet. Move." Snape ordered the professors.
Snape quickly went to undo the ropes that bound Hermione's hands.
"What do you think you're doing?" Hermione snapped at Snape.
Snape answered briskly, "We're getting out of here."
Neville excitedly said, "I knew all along it had to be a mistake!"
As soon as Ginny was freed, she pointed her wand at Snape.
Herminone followed suit, angrily saying, "Do you think that after what you did to Ron we're going to trust you?"
Snape did not make any attempt to draw his wand, merely saying, "I had no choice."
Ginny held her wand to Snape's neck, "We don't need any of your help."
Snape brushed her wand aside saying, "There's still a chance to save Ron....I mean, at the East tower."
As the group rushed off towards the East Tower, Neville looked
apologetically at Snape and said, "I'm sorry about that. After all,
Ginny is Ron's sister."
They reached the East Tower, just as Lucius got on his broom, Ron's
frozen body placed precariously on the back. Ginny cried out, "Ron!" as
they sent bolt after bolt after Lucius' body disappearing into the
horizon.
Harry and Voldemort are engaged
in perhaps what will be the last battle of both their lives. Harry
aggresively attacked, driving Voldemort backwards.
"You have learned much, young one."
"You'll find that I'm full of surprises." Harry levitated himself into
the air, striking down on Voldemort as he came down. Voldemort quickly
deflects and counterattacks, sending Harry flying back.
Voldemort smirked and bowed proudly. "Your destiny lies with me, Potter. Dumbledore knew this to be true."
No! Harry thought, it couldn't be.
Suddenly, a pit opened up underneath Harry and he was falling. Falling into a black dark abyss.
Voldemort smirked. "All too easy. Perhaps you are not as strong as I thought."
"LEVICORPUS!" Harry shot upwards above the darkness. Voldemort turned in surprise.
"Impressive Potter. Very impressive. Dumbledore has taught you well.
You have controlled your fear, now...release your anger! Only with your
hatred can you destroy me!"
Several rocks suddenly levitated behind Harry and shot towards him.
Harry turned quickly and shielded himself from the quick attack.
He turned and saw that Voldemort had disappeared, the entrance to the cavern so close.
Harry cautiously exited the cavern, walking towards the cliff,
Voldemort nowhere in sight. He looked over the cliff, scanning the
rocks at the bottom looking for any sign of the Dark Lord.
Voldemort emerged from the shadows behind Harry. Grinning, he lifted
his wand and drove Harry closer and closer to the edge.
"You are beaten. It is useless to resist. Don't let yourself be destroyed as Dumbledore did."
Harry responded by gripping his wand and shooting another curse at
Voldemort. He smirks as the curse hits Voldemort's shoulder, the Dark
Lord grimacing in pain.
Gaining this sudden boost of confidence, Harry started fighting back
viciously, throwing curses and hexes and whatever else he could think
of at Voldemort. I can do this! he thought.
Suddenly, Voldemort whipped his wand and Harry felt a sudden surge of
pain. He gasped, falling to his knees and in that instant, Voldemort
cut his wand towards Harry and there was nothing but pain.
Harry's hand, which had been gripping his wand so closely, flew over
the cliff, splashing down into the ocean below. Harry screamed in pain,
gripping his hand-less arm close to him.
"There is no escape, Potter. Don't make me destroy you. You do not yet
realize your importance. You have only begun to discover your power.
Join me and I will complete your training. With our combined strength,
we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the wizarding
world."
"I'll never join you Voldemort!"
"If only you knew the power of the dark arts. Dumbledore never told you what happened to your father."
"He told me enough! He told me you killed James Potter!"
"No, Harry." Voldemort straightened himself out. "I AM YOUR FATHER."
Shocked, Harry looked at Voldemort in disbelief. "No, no. That's not true!"
Voldemort, with almost a gentle look on his face, "Search your feelings. You know it to be true."
NO! Harry screamed, it just wasn't possible!
Voldemort took another step forward, "Harry. It is your destiny. Join
me, and together we can rule the wizarding world as father and son.
Come with me. It is the only way."
Harry glanced behind him, the edge of the cliff drawing nearer and
nearer. With one final look at Voldemort, Harry closed his eyes and
fell backwards off the cliff, falling towards the ocean.
Voldemort stood, stonefaced as he watched Harry fall. Saying nothing, he turned and vanished into the shadows.
As Harry fell, his thoughts raced
to that of his sister, the one he never knew he had till the spirit of
Dumbledore had revealed to him. Herminone he thought.
Hermione, along with the rest of
the DA, flew away from Hogwarts as fast as possible on their
broomsticks, racing back towards London. Suddenly she stopped, Neville
almost crashing into her.
"Harry. We've got to go back. I know where Harry is."
